DOCTOR or ENGINEERS Only!

Today I am going to discuss a blog  post. The post is written by Rabia Butt on Pakpositive.com as a guest post.In her post she realize that why our parents only want us to become a doctor or an engineer. In her post she give reference of his younger brother that wants to become a cook but their parents want to see him as a dentist .Now it is a time to realize that if some students cannot study science at all then their parents should allow them to take other fields like humanities and social sciences.
The post writer concluded the post with the following lines:
"I can only hope that someday our desi parents might get rid of the doctor/ engineer fever and instead open their minds and see other professions with same dignity and respect."

Facebook Affects on Students Life

The famous social networking website facebook does impact your social life , But now it could impact your educational life as well .
How you network socially will decide your chances of getting admission in college  apart from your performance  in  GMAT GRE  or any other entrance exam .
Many colleges in US and Europe are considering information on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to make their decisions on college applicants.
According to a survey conducted by Kaplan at 386 top colleges in US 82 percent of the admissions officers indicated that their respective schools used Facebook “to recruit prospective students.”
82% is a big number .
If you post pictures on you facebook profiles with beers in hands , or strange tattoos on body or any  mischievous  looking pictures or status message then be cautious as it could impact your application of admission in college . So clean your profile .
Many applications of students were rejected because of the contents they have posted on facebook . By using social networks in a better way , you could also increase your chances of getting admission like  posting  a video resume on YouTube or blogging about volunteering efforts or other extracurricular activities and you can post all these on your facebook profile.

A Tribute To Nelson Mandela

Mandela was born on july 18,1918 in South Africa.
He had been an Anti-apartheid activist and was imprisened for 27 years on charge of so called sabotage crimes.
He won the first fully democratic presidential election in South Africa in 1994 and served his tenurue until 1999.
The United Nations has marked International Nelson Mandela Day since 2009.
It is a call to action for people everywhere to take responsibility for making the world a better place, one small step at a time, just as Nelson Mandela did.

Facebook engineers bring Google+ Circles to Facebook

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. While Google+ has been criticized for being a clone of Facebook, it implements a few features better than its counterpart. A team of Facebook engineers have ported one such Google+ feature, called Circles, to Facebook.
Facebook engineers Vladimir Kolesnikov, Peng Fan, Zahan Malkani, and Brian Rosenthal wanted to be able to organize their Facebook friends in the same way you can organize them using Google+. Since it took a bit of hacking, the team of four has called it Circle Hack and described it as “A one-night experiment with JavaScript (not affiliated with Facebook).” I first heard about Circle Hack via a message from Facebook Platform Partner Engineer Simon Cross on Twitter:
Interesting that people think Google+Circles is new - seen Facebook Friend lists? This makes a good point: http://t.co/flxYts4
Google+ allows you to organize your friends in customized Circles, like friends, family, or colleagues. You can then control the privacy settings for each Circle and share content only in that Circle. To include a person in a particular Circle, you simply drag their picture into the appropriate category.
You can organize your friends on Facebook as well with a feature called Lists. Setting up a list is much more complicated on Facebook, however, than setting up a Circle is on Google+. First, you have to click on the Account menu in the top right-hand corner, select Edit Friends, and then click Create a List.
From there, you have to go through multiple steps to organize your friends into customized Lists, including typing in names individually and selecting friends one by one, all in a small little window. Google+ and Circle Hack have a much easier drag-and-drop format.
Like Circles, the Circle Hack webpage is divided into two parts. At the top, you have all your Facebook friends represented by their name and profile picture in a contact card format. At the bottom, you have an area for creating new Circles/Lists. Each section has its own scroll bar, and you can resize each one by clicking on the dividing line between the two areas. All you have to do is select friends at the top and drag them to the bottom.
Circle Hack requires that you log in to your Facebook account and authorize the site just like you would any other Facebook application. Once you have a circle organized, you can click on the “Create list” link that appears in the center of your new circle to name it. The next time you open Facebook, you’ll see the newly created list as an option in your Friends section and in your privacy settings.
Unfortunately, while Circle Hack lets you remove everyone from a newly created List, you cannot delete the actual List. To do that, you’ll have to open Facebook and edit your Lists there.
Since Google+ was built after Facebook, Google has a huge advantage of fixing structural social network mistakes from the ground-up. Facebook created Lists long after the site went live, and the feature is not a core part of the social network, unlike Circles is on Google+. Furthermore, since people are only getting started on Google+, they can slowly build out their Circles as they add new friends. On Facebook, however, most people have hundreds of friends and it’s simply a pain to organize them all. Even Circle Hack, which is a great attempt at simplifying the process, can only slightly reduce the effort required.
Although Circle Hack is not an official Facebook product, it does show that Facebook employees care about fixing certain aspects of the social network. The new website is a pretty good imitation of the Google+ Circles feature. I hope that Google+ and Circle Hack inspire Facebook to fix how Lists are created on the social network.

Solar Energy Benefits

Solar Energy is the most valuable source left for Human Beings on Earth. It cost once and leave the tension. Here are some benefits of Solar Energy system:
1.The energy given by the sun to us in 10 days is more than the total energy we have total got by the fossil fuel.
2. Solar energy is not only sustainable, it is renewable and this means that we will never run out of it. It is about as natural a source of power as it is possible to generate. Not only are we able to refuel our vehicles with it we can heat our water and light our homes.
3.The creation of solar energy requires little maintenance. Once the solar panels or troughs have been installed and they are brought up to maximum efficiency there is little else to do to ensure they are in working order.
4.Large solar energy facilities can produce electricity regardless of whether the sun is shining or not making them sustainable and reliable electricity producers. The solar power plants capable of achieving this feat are generally thermal solar power producers capable of storing the heat generated and using it when the sun is not shining.
5.Solar electricity power plants and personal solar panels produce zero emissions and make no adverse mark on the environment.
